Trend-E: 3D art Instagram accounts that will make you want to step into the screen

South African artist Alexis Christodoulou who creates “escapist 3D tableaus,” in an interview with Ignant, said it all began with need to escape to a world where no one would talk to him for a while. He was one of the first artists who used Instagram as a platform to share his renderings of digital spaces that are out of this world — all without any background in architecture. Today, these accounts are everywhere, and thank goodness, because for now, they’re one of our few sources of escape, travel, and inspiration while we ride out this pandemic. Here are some 3D art accounts that make us wish we could walk into the screen:

  1. @teaaalexis by digital artist Alexis Christodoulou

2. @layersandshapes from Spain

3. @wangsoderstrom by Anny Wang and Tim Söderström

4. @maison_de_sable by Charlotte Taylor

5. @_mue_studio by Mue Design Studio

6. @sixnfive from Barcelona
