It’s city-meets-safari on the Kate Spade New York runway this season, marking Nicola Glass’s first full year as creative director with an immersive fashion show held in an open air oasis in the heart of Manhattan.
For the first time ever Kate Spade New York diversified its runway by inviting globally recognized actresses, influencers and models across a range of body types and ages to walk the show and unveil the Spring 2020 collection. Attendees included Anna Kendrick (actress), Julia Garner (actress), Sadie Sink (actress), Emma Roberts (actress), Katherine Schwarzengger (influencer), Sun Yi (Chinese actress), Luna Maya (Indonesian actress), Julie Estelle (Indonesian actress), Tong Bing Yu (Malaysian actress), Laureen Uy (influencer), Leandra Medine (influencer) and more.
Actresses Debi Mazar, along with her daughter Evelina Maria Corcos, and Molly Godron, models Karen Elson, Lindsay Ellingson, Chloe Vero, Dusty Rose Ryan; influencers Vanessa Hong, Lyn Slater, Molly Blutstein and Reese Blutstein; writer Karley Sciortino and many more all walked the Kate Spade New York Spring 2020 runway.
“My starting point for this season was imagining everything a woman would need for her next big adventure even if that adventure is right outside her door. I wanted to find the balance between functionality and style using luxe fabrics but in relaxed silhouettes and cross body handbags in unique materials and whimsical shapes.” said Nicola Glass. “I love how no two women ever wear the same thing the same way. This season is an homage to that: To be blossoming wherever you’re planted.”
On the spring 2020 runway, the brand also debuted its footwear collaboration with Dr. Scholl’s arriving in stores in April. The iconic original wooden sandals is reimagined in a range of vibrant colors and prints including Kate Spade New York’s signature spade floral. All of the design details come together to form a beautiful capsule collection bursting with Kate Spade New York personality and style without sacrificing comfort.
In the Philippines, Kate Spade New York is exclusively distributed by Stores Specialists, Inc., and is located at Central Square in Bonifacio High Street Central, Greenbelt 5, Power Plant Mall, Rustan’s Makati, Rustan’s Shangri-La, and Rustan’s Cebu.
