Ovation Productions recently announced that Oasis frontman Liam Gallagher is performing in Manila on August 14 at the SM MOA Arena.

What could he be performing without the band?

The younger Gallagher has been performing solo since the breakup of his band Beady Eye. Although he has insisted via Twitter that he has no plans of pursuing a solo career (was he trolling us all?), it is rumoured that a solo Liam Gallagher single will be released this March. He’s confirmed to have a solo show in Norway at the end of this year.

NME reports that Matt Whitecross, director of the Oasis Supersonic documentary, revealed that music from the upcoming solo album reminded him of Velvet Underground and that it is “epic.”

Tickets to Liam Gallagher’s show in Manila will be on sale starting Feb. 18.
