The Tide couldn’t be more millennial as far as their origin story goes. Drew Dirksen (guitar and vocals) and Nate Parker (drums) were bandmates in Ohio and were spotted by the band’s eventual manager on YouTube, Levi Jones (bass and vocals) was discovered through his acoustic covers online, and Austin Corini (lead singer and guitar) was a hit on The X Factor USA. They met, hit it off, and, as they say, is history. For the past two years since they were formed in 2015, The Tide has performed around the world under Steady Records, the same label that represents British pop-rock band The Vamps.

Of course, fans of the band already know this story. So in this interview, we took the liberty of getting the boys to share a different side of them — and interview each other. What did we discover? They’re hilarious. Here’s how it went.
