Since Ladurée opened its doors in Manila, many have reveled in the Makati flagship’s little shop of French delights. The original maison of macarons hasn’t stopped offering Filipinos a taste of Paris, especially on February 1, when Ladurée spreads the Valentine’s month amour through a pop-up at SM Mega Fashion Hall.
Next month, Ladurée loyalists in the north can visit their own haute house of treats. Like a replica retaining the refinement of the Makati store, the Ladurée pop-up will offer a selection of the brand’s signature macarons, jams, teas, and candles — all amid elegantly decorated boxes stacked on shelves, the ornate paneling of its cabinets, and a façade painted in the delectable green that Ladurée is known for.
Pause for a slice of Parisian life and relish a pistachio or salted caramel macaron, or grab a gift for that special someone via a box of gourmet Marquis chocolates, flower jams and floral teas, or a nose-transporting scented candle (bakery-fresh brioche sounds like a winner) or send messages of love to your dearest ones with the special Valentine box. Like the tender crumble of two ganache shells, after all, love feels a lot like Ladurée.
