Four new seasons of HBO and Cinemax originals premiere on HBO Go

New seasons of four HBO and Cinemax Original Series will be premiering same time as the U.S. this January on HBO GO and are also available on HBO and CINEMAX. On Monday, 14 January, the third season of the crime series True Detective starring Oscar® winner Mahershala Ali will premiere, followed by the third seasons of Crashing and High Maintenance premiering back-to-back a week later on Monday, 21 January. The latest action-packed season of the CINEMAX Original Series, Strike Back Season 6, which was filmed entirely in Malaysia, will premiere later that same week on Saturday, 26 January. All series will have a same day encore the same evening with new episodes premiering at the same time weekly. 

TRUE DETECTIVE Season 3

Premiering same time as the U.S., the series will debut with two back-to-back episodes on Monday, 14 January at 10am and have a same day encore at 10pm on HBO GO and HBO. A new episodes will premiere on subsequent Mondays at the same time. View the trailer here.

The eight-episode new season tells the story of a macabre crime in the heart of the Ozarks, and a mystery that deepens over decades and plays out in three separate time periods.

Created by Nic Pizzolatto (“The Magnificent Seven”, “Galveston”), the series stars Academy Award® and Golden Globes® winner Mahershala Ali (“Moonlight”, “The 4400”) as Wayne Hays, a state police detective from Northwest Arkansas. Carmen Ejogo (“Selma”, “The Purge: Anarchy”) and Stephen Dorff (“The Power Of One”, “Backbeat”) also star.

STRIKE BACK Season 6

Premieres same time as the U.S. on Saturday, 26 January at 11am, with a same day encore at 10pm, exclusively on HBO GO and CINEMAX. New episodes premiere every Saturday at the same time. View the trailer here.

Filmed entirely in various locations in Malaysia, the ten-episode sixth season of the CINEMAX original action series follows the explosive escapades of Section 20, an elite, multinational, covert special ops team, as it spans the globe fighting a vast web of interconnected criminal and terrorist activity.

Returning cast includes Warren Brown (“Luther”), Daniel MacPherson (“A Wrinkle In Time”), Alin Sumarwata (“Sea Patrol”) and Jamie Bamber(“Battlestar Galactica”). Yasemin Kay Allen (“Water and Fire”) also star.

CRASHING Season 3

Premieres same time as the U.S. on Monday, January 21 at 11am, with a same day encore at 11pm, exclusively on HBO GO and HBO. A new episode premieres every Mondays at the same time. View the trailer here.

Created by and starring Pete Holmes (“Comedy Central Presents: Pete Holmes”), the eight-episode third season of CRASHING finds Pete reinvigorated – and no longer crashing on people’s couches – as he reenters the NYC stand-up comedy world following his college tour.

Executive produced by Pete Holmes, Judd Apatow (HBO’s “Girls” and “The Zen Diaries of Garry Shandling”), Judah Miller (“Playing House”) and Igor Srubshchik (“Master of None”), the series draws on Holmes’ own experiences as a comedian, providing a nuanced, hilarious look at the state of comedy today.

HIGH MAINTENANCE Season 3

Premieres same day as the U.S. on Monday, 21 January at 11.30pm, exclusively on HBO GO and HBO. New episodes premiere on Mondays at the same time. View the trailer here.

Created by Katja Blichfeld (Emmy®-winning casting director of “30 Rock”) and Ben Sinclair (“Home Again,” “Sisters”), the nine-episode third seasonprofiles everyday people whose stories of success, failure, love and loss intersect across New York, while delving deeper into personal life of The Guy (played by Sinclair), who is spending less time on his iconic bicycle and more time in “Steve RV,” a set of wheels gifted to him last season.
