Tod’s presents its Hollyworld video, a dreamlike journey which accentuates the dexterity of the artist Andrea Tarella, and the handmade tradition of the Tod’s brand: a surreal yet animated story which follows stitching, dyeing and all other essential steps that go into crafting a Holly bag.
Through the sketches of the illustrator, this journey of the imagination describes how a Holly bag is created, starting with the choice of a perfect piece of leather, which turns into a kite and sets off on a flight of fancy among a forest of flowers and butterflies that seamlessly mimic the stitching process. Fluttering past a background of Italian beauty spots, with Mount Vesuvius clouds billowing out, casting a shadow over the coastline, the kite is carried along towards an urban surrounding which celebrates the bags contemporary elegance.
