Tod’s presents ‘Hollyworld’ video by artist Andrea Tarella

Tod’s presents its Hollyworld video, a dreamlike journey which accentuates the dexterity of the artist Andrea Tarella, and the handmade tradition of the Tod’s brand: a surreal yet animated story which follows stitching, dyeing and all other essential steps that go into crafting a Holly bag.

Through the sketches of the illustrator, this journey of the imagination describes how a Holly bag is created, starting with the choice of a perfect piece of leather, which turns into a kite and sets off on a flight of fancy among a forest of flowers and butterflies that seamlessly mimic the stitching process. Fluttering past a background of Italian beauty spots, with Mount Vesuvius clouds billowing out, casting a shadow over the coastline, the kite is carried along towards an urban surrounding which celebrates the bags contemporary elegance.

The Holly Bag has already garnered a celebrity following. Tod’s China Brand ambassador Liu Shishi was seen carrying the bag in both mustard yellow and sapphire blue. Other celebrity fans of the modern feminine style include Ashley Lam, Elva Ni, Zelia Zhong, Sue Chang and Jenny Tsang.
