Gucci’s latest collection is all bright

Gucci’s Towards the Sun collection brightens up our lives with a new range that interprets the House aesthetic in a manner that evokes the idea of light and warmth, with pastels reflecting a mood of joy and optimism.

The collection has the benefit of being both formal and informal, offering highly versatile designs suited to many occasions. Refined, elegant and contemporary, the Towards the Sun pieces — which comprise bags, shoes, ready-to wear, accessories and small leather goods — have a characterful, informal spirit and are enriched by the presence of Gucci House motifs and hardware.

The Baiadera print also features on a selection of shoes for men: the lace-up, which is a versatile model halfway between a light sneaker and a casual shoe; the classic espadrille; and the new slide, which is characterised by a thick rubber sole. For women, there is a range of pastel-coloured shoes in diagonal quilted leather — slides, Marmont sandals and espadrilles. In pink, blue, yellow and green, and in the case of the slide and one espadrille style, a combination of these four hues, the women’s footwear in Towards the Sun features the Double G hardware in a shiny silver finish, for a fresh take on this emblematic detail. This season, the House has for the first time rendered the Double G in silver, and this new incarnation of the motif can also be found on GG Marmont 2.0 handbags in the Towards the Sun range.

In the Philippines, Gucci is exclusively distributed by Stores Specialists, Inc., and is located at Greenbelt 4 and Shangri-La Plaza East Wing. Visit www.ssilife.com.ph or follow @ssilifeph on Instagram for more information.
