‘Down to Earth with Zac Efron’ premieres on Discovery Channel this month

American actor and singer Zac Efron teams up with Discovery Channel to bring a new series titled Down to Earth with Zac Efronwhere he embarks on a journey that will reveal the secrets to a healthy long life and the importance of being eco-conscious. The show premieres on September 13, at 9:00 p.m.

His adventures take him to different parts of the globe to understand the different ways and initiatives each country implements to help save our world. From Iceland using renewable sources to Paris’ clean drinking initiatives, he discovers multiple forms of sustainability and shares his learning experience with the viewers.

In the first episode, Zac travels to San Juan, Puerto Rico to see what rehabilitation and transformation efforts have been made since the infamous hurricane Maria tore through the US territory.

“San Juan can serve as a model for the rest of the world in that we need to rethink how we consume everything from our food to our power. Striving for sustainability is easier said than done and I know I have a long way to go but I feel grateful for the small lessons that I’ve learned on this beautiful island,” Zac says after meeting with local leaders who have been working with communities to make sure that they come back stronger and more self-sufficient.
