When he’s not busy doing press work or being fab at the gym, MEGA and MEGA Man associate editor Angelo de Cartagena likes put on the tightest outfit he could find and wear heels higher than our collective self-esteems combined, as “Miss Kiki,” an unapologetic offshoot of his ’80s pop diva self. Both Angelo and Miss Kiki are pros at doing his own makeup too. “I used to have my makeup artist friends do my makeup for me, but then eventually I made it a point to learn to do it myself.” Here, he shares his simple yet effective skincare routine.
“My skincare regimen is erratic. I wish I could say it is diligent, but as terrible as it sounds, it’s wash-and-go on most days,” he says. “When I’m a little bit more persistent, it’s an eight- to nine-step routine, especially at night. I cover the basics of cleansing, toning, and moisturizing. Sometimes I do add a serum to lock it all in. But really, what I never, ever forget is to drink water every chance I get. Prayers and a good cry every now and then help, too.”
