Filipino artists Curtismith, Hernandez Bros. and Leeroy New in Wondefruit

Thailand’s pioneering, sustainable, cross-cultural, live celebration of art, music and ideas has announced its momentous lineup, which includes diverse music acts from all over the world, thought-provoking arts, talks and workshops, sumptuous food offerings, an array of family-friendly activities and more. Returning to The Fields at Siam Country Club in Pattaya, Thailand from December 14-17 for the fourth time, Wonderfruit will bring together a global community of Wonderers to celebrate creativity and sustainability, to make a positive impact on the environment.

Wild Beasts

cratch First, the organizers behind Wonderfruit announce the names from the music line-up, led by veteran techno DJ RICHIE HAWTIN and British hip hop artist ROOTS MANUVA, who will perform with a full band. Hailing from Texas, psychedelic trio KHRUANGBIN will delight crowds with their Thai Molam-inspired sound, while Brazilian house legend GUI BORATTO will light up legendary after-hours destination, The Quarry. Lending a local Thai flavor to the soundscape in The Fields will be KHUN NARIN AND HIS ELECTRIC PHIN BAND and Wonderers will also be treated to the soulful stylings of English songstress IZZY BIZU. In addition, NICOLA CRUZ from Ecuador and Danish techno maverick BE SVENDSEN join Hawtin and Boratto on the DJ roster.

Curtismith

Notably at sunset, the celebrations center on Solar Stage, with performances from Space Telexxx and Thai reggae pioneer Gapi and the Thai Dub Mafia, percussion duo Hernandez Bros. and up-and-coming rapper Curtismith from The Philippines, as well as Eduardo Castillo, whose uplifting selections will provide the soundtrack to a cacao ceremony curated by the Colours of Love team. As day slips into night, spectacular performances on Living Stage come courtesy of diverse bands Yeasayer, Wild Beasts, Nerve and Songhoy Blues plus local sensation Singto Numchok, while Wonderers can discover hidden treasures including the acoustic stylings of Vurro and John Will Sail and the soulful disco sounds of Bobby Pleasure and Crew Love Takeover in small and unique venues. Powerful rhythms keep revelers dancing till dawn thanks to DJs Craig Richards, Matt Sassari, Marmosets and Sarayu. More acts to be announced.

Hernandez Brothers

Besides music, Wonderers will see The Fields’ permanent structures revamped by some of the world’s best architects and designers, taking them on a new journey of exploration across Wonderfruit’s mesmerizing landscape. An installation to look out for include a biomorphic alien creation by Filipino artist-designer Leeroy New.

Wonderfruit takes place from December14 to 17 in The Fields at Siam Country Club, just 150 kilometers (two hours’ drive) southeast of Bangkok. Phase two ticket pricing begins at P8,500 (THB5,500) for an adult 4-day pass, which includes general camping.
